"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Jew. And then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me. – Martin Niemöller ** To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will. - Ronald Reagan

Where do I live?

I live in Budapest, in the 2nd district in the “Hársliget” (lime-parkland) subdivision. The subdivision is a modern building estate, 4-6 buildings in the same closed garden, which is guarded by a gate keeper all day and night. In our garden there are 6 buildings and in every building there are 6 flats.

The garden is really wonderful. Early in the morning you can see squirrels, many kinds of birds (titmice, woodpeckers, ravens etc.), and sometimes rabbits and marts.

Our flat is relatively big: 120 square meters with 4 balconies.

It was very important for me to have a sunshine-filled flat. In the mornings the sun shines into 3 of the bedrooms and the bathroom. From 11 am. until 4 pm. the sun goes around from the kitchen through the living room and before sundown it ends/winds up back at Mark’s (he is my son) bedroom. We don’t have curtains except in the bedrooms.

We put two little trees on the bathroom’s window. I have a long floppy plant in the kitchen’s window.

We also have many indoor plants in the living room. Our kitchen is relatively little and I only use it for cooking. This is where we eat. We are usually together there all day long, but if somebody would like to be alone or do something in silence, he or she can go into their own bedroom.

In the living room and in the parent’s bedroom we have old wooden furniture. They were made by hand a long time ago, with very nice inlays. In the children’s rooms there is modern furniture.
