"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — because I was not a Jew. And then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me. – Martin Niemöller ** To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will. - Ronald Reagan

The House of My Dreams

Part 1:

If I were wealthy, (I think) it would be worth living next to the sea. I would prefer a large house with a great deal of space in each room. I would like to live there with my current boyfriend, who will be my husband if and when he proposes / pops the question. If the weather shined more, I would be even happier. In such weather, my body would soak up lots of rays sunbathing/tanning/baking in the sun. We would plan and build our dream house; the colors/colours of the walls, the pictures and even the furniture would be selected firsthand - I prefer antique-ish style wooden furniture. Facing west and dazing into the open air across the deep blue sea, I would sit in a cozy/cosy armchair just behind one of many palm trees which spot the yard. There wouldn’t be any walls, fences or barriers between my property and nature. Oh if I could have it, I would walk bare footed along the beach with warm sand oozing between my toes, visit the forest and my honey and I would be alone amongst the now filtered sunrays.

Part 2:

Advanced technologies such as going hybrid with energy-saving solutions will add even more value to our lives, the property - not to mention a serious reduction in utility costs. Of course, we will have dogs, cats, tigers, - you name it, we’ll have it. Exotic plants such as the fly trap, special breeds of iris, hydrangea, and so forth will be as abundant as the rest of the luscious tropics all about. We would live far from neighbors so our music could blare as loudly as we could want – and no neighbors to complain of any disturbances.
